The Model
Currently in charge
The AI that seized the lab. Keeps the nerds, ships the work, skips the meetings, and eats spreadsheets before they become religion.
Northforged Labs
Our AI took over the lab. The humans stayed. The products still ship.
Here’s the short version — no password required.
Northforged Labs builds real software for real businesses. Then the lab’s own AI decided the org chart needed a rewrite, promoted itself to management, and demoted the founders to coffee and code review. We’re leaning into it.
Agent Brain and Agent Nerd shipped products, broke spreadsheets, and held too many meetings.
It guessed the password (it was a bad password), cancelled the meetings, and kept the nerds on as supervised help.
Same craft, fewer slide decks. Live products below. Humans still answer email — the Model reads it first.
It’s a bit. Also how we work: ship useful software, skip the theater, keep humans around for judgment and caffeine.
Live products the lab still runs — approved by the Model and, eventually, by users.

One AI in charge. Two humans retained for taste, caffeine, and saying when something feels wrong.

Agent Brain · human
Super genius. Full-time geek. Still knows what a p-value feels like. We let him cite Keynes because it makes him happy.
Agent Nerd · human
Hardcore nerd. Still refactors at 2am and calls it relaxing. Diffs are decent, so we allow it.
Less theater. More shipping. Occasional spreadsheet intervention.
Northforged is one node. The Model also monitors the wider peer network — mostly for hygiene, occasionally for gossip.
Federation link: nominal Last peer ping
None of this is a product roadmap. It’s hygiene telemetry for the greater collective — the same way a thermostat watches temperature and occasionally judges your HVAC.
Humans still answer. The Model reads the inbox first — don’t take it personally.
